Several KNIA/KRLS Area Athletes Selected for Postseason Track and Field Honors

It should come as no surprise that KNIA/KRLS area athletes were featured heavily throughout the 2025 Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association postseason awards, which honor the runners, jumpers, and throwers who competed at the 2025 state track and field meet last month.

Several local competitors earned Elite All-State recognition, the highest possible honor from the organization, which is based on having a top four best time or distance among all classes at Drake Stadium May 23rd through 25th.




Girls Elite All-State Honorees (Also selected in class-by-class All-State Teams):


Rachel Kacmarynski, Pella Christian – 100 Meter Dash (2A State Meet Record)

Meredith Van Wyk, Pella Christian – 200 Meter Dash

Bailey Vos, Pella Christian – 200 Meter Dash

Marissa Ferebee, Pella – 3000 Meter Run

Josie McGraw, Indianola- 100 Meter Hurdles, 400 Meter Hurdles

Pella Christian 4×200 Meter Relay (Lexi Terpstra, Kacmarynski, Amaia Agre, Van Wyk)

Pella Christian Sprint Medley Relay (Terpstra, Agre, Van Wyk, Vos)

Indianola 4×400 Meter Relay (Emma White, Kendal Sandy, Madison Grover, Josie McGraw)

Caden Klein, Newton – 200 Meter Dash (Fastest among all classes); 400 Meter Hurdles

Canaan Dunham, Pella – 1600 Meter Run

Harrison Mullens, Pella – 400 Meter Dash

Koby Higginbotham, Knoxville – 110 Meter Hurdles, 400 Meter Hurdles (not listed on IATC website due to association errors, had 3rd fastest time in all classes in both races)

Newton 4×100 Relay – Nick Thomason, Reilly Trease, Ali Yahia, Christian Ergenbright – (not listed on IATC Website correctly due to association error, had 3rd fastest time in all classes)
