The Norwalk baseball team defeated Winterset 7–2 on Thursday night, extending their winning run to four games. Colton Moore’s two-out, three-RBI double in the top of the fifth inning opened the game for the Warriors, who now stand at 10-8 overall.
Ryan Jones scored one run and finished two for four for Norwalk, including a double. Eli Benschoter and Cole Wardlow each contributed one RBI and a single. Starting on the mound, Garrett Geurink pitched four innings, giving up two runs and striking out six in the victory.
The Warriors play a doubleheader at Pella tonight at 5:00 p.m. to resume play in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Live streaming of game two will be available on kniakrls.com (KNIA3). Additionally, at 5:30, the Norwalk softball team heads to Pella for a varsity doubleheader. 92.1 KRLS will broadcast the second game.
