While the softball game against East Union was halted in the third inning with the Saints leading 8-4, the Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad managed to defeat East Union 9–6. Baseball began the game poorly, falling down 3-1 in the second inning, but the Saints took control in a five-run third inning. Leo Schrader, Austin Remster, and Evan Schrader each received two hits, with Evan Schrader scoring three runs. Similar to the baseball team, softball had a poor start but was in the middle of a great inning when the rain forced everyone to leave. Tonight, both Saints teams will focus on their bitter rivals, the Twin Cedars.
