On Monday, the Indianola softball and baseball teams go to Newton for their only Little Hawkeye Conference games.
With an 11-3 record and a half-game lead over Pella, the Indians baseball team split a doubleheader with DCG on Friday. They will try to repeat their doubleheader sweep of the Cardinals from early June, which included victories of 12-2 and 2-0.
After the two teams split a doubleheader in the first game, with Newton winning game one 12-3 and Indianola scoring a 13-0 shutout in game two, the softball team is aiming to defeat the Cardinals in the season series.
While softball may be heard live on 94.3 KNIA with Clayton Sampson on the call, with pregame starting at around 7pm, baseball will be carried live on the KRLS3 stream with Randy Van on the call. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45pm.
