The Indianola baseball team defeated Ames 1-0 in a non-conference game on the Simpson College campus on Wednesday thanks to seven scoreless innings from Asher Brueck. Thanks to a solid defensive effort, Brueck struck out six and George Blake drove in the Indians’ lone run. The Indians will host the Dallas Center-Grimes in a doubleheader tomorrow; they are now 17-3 on the season.
