Pella Christian Summer Sports Squads Travel to Norwalk Tonight

Tonight, the Pella Christian summer sports teams will travel to Norwalk to complete the season series, marking their first road Little Hawkeye Conference games since June 6.

The Eagles softball team, who defeated Newton 8-1 and 6-5 on Monday to take the season series, are coming off their first doubleheader sweep since 2023. With a 19-2 record going into the contest, the Class 4A #4 Warriors softball team had won seven straight games, including the doubleheader at Davenport Central on Wednesday. The Warriors defeated Norwalk 15-1 and 13-1 in their most recent meeting on the softball diamond, which took place on June 2nd at Eagle Lane. Since 2009, Norwalk has won the previous 11 games between the two schools and is 31-10 in the softball series.
