Next week, Kent Halstead will give a talk at the Warren County Historical Society called Cheap Lands & Broken Treaties, which will tell the tale of Taoyateduta (Chief Little Crow). Halstead will tell KNIA News Chief about Little Crow’s life, incarceration, and the 1990 Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act. Little Crow was shot in 1863 and buried in 1971. The Warren County Historical Society will host the free event on Tuesday, June 24 at 7:00 p.m.
