Knoxville School Board Approves Summer Concrete Work

Published On:

At its most recent meeting, the Knoxville School Board authorized summer concrete work projects.

In order to address water drainage concerns, the renovations involve rebuilding eight panels on Panther Drive, removing rock and filling a fence at Randy Wilson Track with concrete, and installing a poured approach and curb at the east entrance to the baseball parking lot. A quote from Fine Line Concrete for somewhat more than $30,000 was accepted by the board. Panther Drive will be temporarily closed in July as a result of the construction, according to Craig Mobley, Knoxville School Business Manager.

We will be tearing out and replacing eight different panels on Panther Drive, so stay tuned for more information in mid-July. We will need to block off a small portion of Panther Drive, but people will still be able to access the area from the east and west sides, allowing them to continue accessing the things they need along Panthers Drive.

It is anticipated that all of the concrete work will be finished in July.
