Donald Trump and Melania Slammed Over White House Rose Garden Redesign as New Images Reveal a ‘Tasteless’ Makeover

Published On:

The White House Rose Garden appears to have changed throughout time. The familiar and beloved location that made us all think of Jackie Kennedy’s elegance and style has undergone a significant transformation. Now that everything is drab and concrete, people aren’t really excited about it. You have most likely seen the images if you have been browsing social media.

Some people have called it tacky and tasteless, saying it appears like it was taken from a Hobby Lobby sale that no one wanted, and the response has been very strong. The commotion around this modification is more loud than the bulldozers used to complete the task. Many individuals are already calling for the garden to return to its former state as soon as the Trumps leave office.

Images taken on July 22 and 23 show a garden that has abandoned roses in favor of concrete and tiles. It turns out that under the cover of these large, sun-blocking tents, construction crews were working diligently to complete the refurbishment.

Why the big change? Well, back in March, Donald Trump told Fox News. He said that the high heels simply didn’t function and that it was all for safety, particularly for ladies. They would trip and fall during press conferences, suggesting that the previous arrangement wasn’t working for them. He proceeded to convert the lovely garden into a patio.

In order to avoid further tripping, he simply paved over it.

The Rose Garden is much more than just a lawn to many Americans, particularly those who are interested in presidential history. It was originally established in 1913, but in the 1960s, Jackie Kennedy gave it a stunning makeover to use as the setting for high-profile events and press conferences. People are now drawing comparisons to an additional Mar-a-Lago neighborhood.

If you missed it, in February, the New York Times revealed that Trump had told his crew that he wanted the space to look like his Mar-a-Lago terrace. He then admitted to The Spectator that he wanted a stone surface.

Online users have criticized it. It was dubbed the Trump style in one Instagram comment that went viral. Another person stated it even more succinctly: How appropriate. They ruin everything that is beautiful and alive. The larger issue of eradicating the history associated with President John F. Kennedy also drew a lot of these objections.

Many people agreed that he doesn’t need to destroy it because it’s not his residence.

In addition to all the drama, the Republican party is adding a new notion to the mix: they want to honor Melania Trump by renaming the Opera House at the Kennedy Center. It’s tone-deaf, according to JFK’s grandson, who is not having it.

Someone is crossing their fingers, stating, “I hope the next administration rips that concrete out and puts back Jackie’s roses,” after the Rose Garden’s construction was completed in mid-August this year.

The Rose Garden may as well be known as the Rose Gone until that time.
