People know that President Donald Trump enjoys stifling his opponents, and it appears that he is openly attacking anyone who ever dared to criticize him. The most perverse aspect is that Rupert Murdoch, his longstanding ally, is also in danger.
According to a shocking story released by The Wall Street Journal, Trump wrote to Jeffrey Epstein on his birthday, “May every day be another wonderful secret.” Trump, enraged, attempted to coerce Murdoch into ending the report.
Trump stated on Truth Social, “I told Rupert Murdoch it was a scam and that he should not print this Fake Story.” However, he did, and I’m going to sue him and his shoddy newspaper for it. Trump said that although Mr. Murdoch had promised to handle it, he clearly lacked the authority to do so.
Trump is currently suing Murdoch, the Wall Street Journal, and reporters for $10 billion in a libel suit, claiming that the damage to his reputation and finances is severe.
People have seen the president use lawsuits to combat the press, so they don’t seem to be all that astonished by his actions. Experts, however, believe that this specific conduct appears to be a little more aggressive. According to Tim Richardson of PEN America, it is uncommon for a sitting president to sue a journalistic organization.
Trump is essentially saying, “I’m going to punish you if you say something I don’t like,” according to Jenna Leventoff of the American Civil Liberties Union. Not only is Donald Trump pursuing newsrooms, but he has a number of powerful law firms and has requested pro bono services. He has also forced institutions to switch to right learning and has threatened to cancel funding if they don’t comply.

As a last step, Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico by signing an executive order. And as a result of AP’s refusal to comply, they were ultimately prohibited from entering the White House. He even prevented one of its reporters from covering official events after the WSJ piece broke. He also sued pollster Ann Selzer for showing him lagging behind former Vice President Kamala Harris in Iowa, and he turned his attention to HuffPost and The Des Moines Register.
The CBS comes after all of these. Trump sued Paramount over a 60-minute program about Harris. They reportedly agreed to a $16 million settlement as well. In addition, Stephen Colbert, host of The Late Show and a regular critic of Trump, was fired a few days later.
I think it’s great that Trump boasted on Truth Social about Colbert’s termination. I hope I had a significant influence on their departure, and it’s great to see them go!
Joy Behar, co-host of The View, made fun of Trump’s envy of Obama. How did the White House react? A terrifying warning: Before Behar’s show is the next to be taken off the air, she should examine her own feelings of jealousy over President Trump’s extraordinary popularity. According to Richardson, this is intimidation.
