Additionally, Trump has repeatedly expressed his admiration for Loomer, saying, “You work hard and you are a very opinionated lady, I appreciate all your support.” Trump praised Loomer during rallies, and Loomer emphasized, “You can always count on me, President Trump.” Their enthusiasm for one another was evident in public.
Loomer’s role in Trump’s life went beyond appearances; she accompanied him on Trump Force One, at campaign rallies, and on podcasts. While traveling together, they reportedly enjoyed Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U.” This allegedly forged a relationship that Loomer characterized in 2024 as depriving her of time for life outside of her cause. “If Trump doesn’t get back in, I don’t have anything,” she confessed to The Washington Post in May.
Her closeness sparked controversy because Loomer was said to have influenced some of Trump’s most odd campaign statements. Loomer’s influence was blamed by several insiders for Trump’s now-famous “cats and dogs” conspiracy comment during the September 2024 debate, and Trump quickly mirrored her harsh social media criticism of Kamala Harris. One adviser admitted to CNN that he didn’t think of the talking point, indicating Loomer’s strong influence.
Trump’s team made repeated attempts to keep him away from Loomer despite the association because her reputation was risky. Trump stated that Laura must express her desires after she came under fire for her divisive remarks on 9/11 on social media. She then posted that she was a longstanding admirer and a private person, demonstrating her free spirit.
However, gossip about their relationship persisted, leading to a $150 million libel action from Loomer and a comedy about their relationship from comedian Bill Maher. Any romantic overtones were rejected by Loomer, who called them blatantly rude and a complete lie.
Loomer publicly said that Trump was her top priority at the moment, citing her obsession with the president as the reason she didn’t have any sexual relationships. She once quickly recanted her remarks about an aircraft that Qatari officials had given her, a rare instance in which she insulted Trump.
