‘Stop Using Black Children as Racist Entertainment’—Video of White Mom Feeding Her Black Children Off a Public Table Without Plates Sparks Massive Outrage

Published On:

Like any other parenting advice video, it began with the intention of being useful—possibly even ingenious. However, what this white mother said online ultimately ignited social media. The location in question has not yet been recognized.

According to Atlanta Black Star, a white mother of multiracial triplet girls posted a video earlier this year that was meant to demonstrate a useful parenting tip.Instead, viewers witnessed the mom using scissors to cut a piece of pepperoni pizza and then throwing the pieces straight onto a table in a public food court, where her three kids eagerly ate with their hands. Neither plates nor napkins were present.

Bad Parenting TV (@badparentingtv) shared this post.

The video didn’t go over well when it reappeared on Threads in late July through the Instagram account Bad Parenting TV. Many viewers were actually disgusted.WTF, this is disgusting!Someone made a remark. Some were even blunter, describing the situation as depressing and drawing comparisons between the kids and animals. As one observer put it bluntly: Has she gone insane? And using scissors to chop it! What the devil happened to those scissors?

The mother wrote in the original video: “Food scissors is my number one hack as a mom of triplets!” They keep in my diaper bag, which makes eating quickly and easily while on the move!

Triplets are not common. Raising children is undoubtedly difficult, and only approximately 0.7% of births are successful. Just to get by each day, the majority of parents of multiples rely on time-saving techniques. However, this was not a hack to many people online. A line was crossed.

If my kids spill food plates, forks, spoons, or even the entire table on the floor, I don’t care! Food from the table, especially a public one, is not being consumed by them. One angry mom posted, SMH. Furthermore, it went beyond simple cleanliness. The racial dynamic also caused discomfort for others. Many found it extremely unnerving when a white mom sat down with a clean plate as her three Black children ate leftovers off a communal surface.

Is racism at play here? One reader questioned, “A white woman gets a plate, but three young Black girls have to eat off the nasty table?”

Some defended the mother by speculating that she might have used disinfectant to clean the table beforehand. If anyone is harping on about the approach without having triplets, they should write one backer. Others resisted, arguing that dignity and appearances were more important than germs or parental difficulties.

Why must the dignity of Black children always suffer as a result of their parenting tricks?A critic enquired. There is never any humor in these posts. I wish they would stop making money off of Black children’s clicks and utilizing them as r@ci$t entertainment.

One thing is evident from the video as it circulates online: even if parenting advice may become popular, it is not always praiseworthy, particularly when it crosses the line into immorality.
