New accusations center on the tragic story of an Oklahoma infant girl who vanished after her mother allegedly sold her to a drug dealer named Carlos in exchange for meth. According to Law and Crime, 39-year-old mother Ashley Rowland was previously charged with child abandonment in relation to the 2022 disappearance of her daughter London Kerr, who was 2 years old at the time.
While looking for London, police allegedly found shocking information about her life before to her abduction. Consequently, Rowland and her 40-year-old partner Joshua Denton are facing additional accusations and are currently incarcerated.
Rowland faces two charges: allowing child abuse by injury and engaging in a habit of criminal behavior. Denton is accused of six charges of child abuse and one count each of forcible sodomy, engaging in a pattern of criminal activity, and proposing or performing indecent or obscene actions to a kid, according to jail records. In addition to Rowland’s daughter, Denton is also accused of abusing his own children.
According to a probable cause arrest request, authorities met with Denton’s children, who made concerning statements. His 15-year-old son claims that Denton shot London with a BB pistol and hit her with a wooden paddle, leaving her with marks and bruises. Authorities claim that a BB gun and a paddle with the words “The Last Resort” on it were discovered in a storage facility owned by Denton and Rowland.
The teenager also said that their father mistreated him and his older brother. He claimed in the lawsuit that his father duct-taped him to a chair and belted him. According to the child, Denton threatened to kill him and have him vanish if he contacted the authorities about the abuse, while Rowland witnessed it and did nothing.

He last saw London in a car with Denton and Rowland, according to Denton’s son. Rowland reportedly persuaded the boy to bid London farewell before they drove off. He didn’t see her ever again.Rowland claimed that they were bringing her to the father’s London home. The affidavit contained no date.
Denton’s younger children told police in the affidavit that their father would repeatedly put hot sauce in London’s eyes and lock her in a cupboard. He allegedly made her bite into a hot pepper as well.Denton was charged with sexually abusing his daughter, who is eight years old.

Investigators questioned Rowland following his detention in November. She claimed that the aforementioned Carlos was London’s biological father. She stated that she handed London to Carlos without revealing her identity when they met in a parking lot in mid-April 2022. According to the police, Rowland claimed that Carlos was from Mexico and that they were unable to contact him.
When investigators asked Rowland when she would have conceived London, she admitted, according to the affidavit, that she was in Georgia at the time and with her then-boyfriend, whom police now believe to be the girl’s biological father. Police couldn’t locate anyone named Carlos using the birthdate she gave.
