Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently went to a White House meeting to talk about potential ways to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The Ukrainian president pulled out a golf club that was supposed to be a present for Trump during the meeting.
Let’s put peace together was the inscribed message on the present. Junior Sergeant Kostyantyn Kartavtsev gave it to me as a gift. The sport that Trump likes to play in his spare time is something that the junior sergeant himself is a fan of. Following the fitting of a prosthetic leg, Kartavtsev developed a fondness for golf.
While Zelenskyy gave Trump the golf club, Trump heard a message that the junior sergeant had recorded. The Ukrainian soldier was heard on the video saying, “I am one of those soldiers you have spoken about; they are courageous, they are good soldiers.”
He continued by telling how saving a fellow soldier cost him his leg. The junior sergeant also mentioned how playing golf had aided in his recuperation. Kartavtsev went on to say that playing golf had allowed him to breathe easier. Additionally, the activity helped him transition from war to peace; it provided me with the means to recover.

The sergeant, who is not an athlete but rather a warrior who aspires to peace via power, gave President Trump the golf club. The Ukrainian soldier implored the president to assist Ukraine in renouncing war.
Trump politely accepted the present and replied, “I’ll be thinking of you every time I sink a putt.” A video of the junior sergeant playing golf and seemed content was also presented to him. Having played the sport for decades, the President had notes for the soldier.
Trump boasted about his extensive knowledge of golf and praised Kartavtsev’s excellent swing. He informed him that the junior sergeant had the potential to become a very excellent golfer very soon and noted that his swing was lovely. Additionally, the President expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian soldier for the gift, which he believed was offered to him with genuine affection.

According to Kyiv officials who talked to the New York Post, the junior sergeant came up with the idea to give the US President a golf club. He contacted Zelenskyy’s office to inquire about delivering the gift to Trump.
The United By Golf program of the Ukrainian Golf Federation made it possible for the sergeant to participate in the sport. The program’s goal is to assist veterans in their rehabilitation. In response to the gift Kartavtsev offered Trump, the organization called him a guy who understands the real cost of peace.
