Most of us believe that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have been at each other’s throats since their intense election campaign in 2016. Both detractors and supporters believe that the Democrat despises Trump since she has never held back from criticizing the Republican president for a number of his troubling policies. The reality, though, can be far from that.
In October 2024, Clinton, who Trump formerly referred to as “crooked Hillary,” claimed that since she had a run with him eight years prior, her longstanding foe had become even more insane. Clinton stated, “I think he’s more unhinged, more unstable,” in a CNN interview. Both his rallies and his word-for-word speeches, I believe, always demonstrate that.
Despite her criticism of the majority of his administration’s actions, Hillary may have a role in this if she thinks Donald Trump could actually take positive action to stop Russia’s war on Ukraine. She genuinely believes that the Republican president can save lives, and she is even prepared to propose him for a Nobel Peace Prize if he is successful.
Trump has long had his sights set on that specific honor. “I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize no matter what I do, including Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Iran, whatever those outcomes may be, but the people know, and that’s all that matters to me,” the president wrote in June during one of his famous Truth Social tirades.
I will personally nominate Donald Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize if he can broker an end to Putin’s war on Ukraine without Ukraine having to give up territory. This link: https://t.co/SYXKhhLqkS

He boasted about his alleged peacekeeping activities, almost as if he were pleading for the Peace Prize. According to reports, he spoke with Norway’s finance minister on the issue just last week. But even Hillary has put a condition if she were to recommend him for the Nobel Prize, so it won’t come easily.
The former Secretary of State clarified in the August 15 episode of the Raging Moderates podcast that she is prepared to put their rivalry behind them if doing so would benefit humanity. She clarified that she would recommend Donald Trump for the peace award if he is able to put an end to the killing and violence caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It goes without saying that Hillary Clinton raised the bar too high.
To be honest, if he could end this horrible conflict in which Putin is the aggressor without forcing Ukraine to lose territory to the aggressor, that would be fantastic. Hillary remarked, “I would nominate President Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize if we could pull that off and if he were the architect of that.”
“My objective is to prevent surrender to Putin, which is being facilitated by the United States,” she continued. If Trump suddenly became a skilled diplomat and brought peace to Ukraine, maybe her relationship with him might improve.
