Pam Bondi Outs DC Sandwich-Slinger in Deep State Bombshell

Published On:

A Department of Justice employee has been dismissed and charged after allegedly tossing a Subway sandwich at a federal officer in Washington, D.C., Attorney General Pam Bondi has publicly disclosed. The late Sunday night event on 14th Street NW, which was captured on camera and went viral on social media, has now sparked political debate and legal action.

Sean Charles Dunn, 37, an international affairs specialist with the DOJ’s Criminal Division, reportedly yelled obscenities at a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent from a few feet away, saying, “I don’t want you in my city!” before throwing his sandwich at the officer’s chest, according to court documents and eyewitness accounts. Bystander footage of the incident, which was detailed in a criminal complaint, has received millions of views online.

Dunn allegedly tried to run away after the sandwich hit the officer, but the Metropolitan Police Department and federal agents swiftly caught him. Dunn confessed to the crime while in detention at MPD’s Third District, allegedly telling police, “I did it.” I tossed a sandwich. Before being removed, Dunn, who was wearing a pink collared shirt, was surrounded by FBI and CBP officers, according to photos obtained at the site.

Bondi announced Dunn’s termination and felony charge on X on Thursday morning. We will pursue you if you touch any law enforcement official, Bondi wrote. I recently found out that this defendant was no longer employed by the Department of Justice. He has been charged with a felony in addition to being fired. As we attempt to refocus DOJ, this is an illustration of the Deep State that we have been facing for the past seven months. You will not continue to disrespect our government and law enforcement while working in this administration.

We will pursue you if you make contact with any law enforcement personnel.

Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, also voiced her opinion by confirming in a video message that her office will bring charges against Dunn. Pirro stated he found it amusing. Given that we charged him with assault on a police officer, he doesn’t find today amusing. Additionally, we will support the cops to the hilt. Put your Subway sandwich somewhere else, then!

Dunn may spend up to a year in jail on one count of assaulting, resisting, or obstructing a federal law enforcement official. The arrest and accusations coincide with a stepped-up Trump administration crackdown on crime in the nation’s capital, which has involved sending hundreds of National Guard troops and federal agents to the area even as crime rates in D.C. have reached a 30-year low.

Bondi has repeatedly emphasized throughout her tenure that internal opposition to the administration’s agenda has permeated the DOJ, and her reference to the Deep State is part of this effort. The government has emphasized Dunn’s termination and prosecution as part of a zero-tolerance policy for any perceived hostility or disrespect toward police enforcement.

In addition to the odd nature of the accused weapon—a foot-long sandwich—the case has garnered a lot of public interest because of the political framing by high-ranking officials. Dunn’s defense team has not yet released a public statement, and he is still out on bond pending trial. Beyond Bondi’s public statements, the Justice Department has verified his removal and declined to comment further.
