For nearly three months, Travis Decker, sometimes known as Killer Dad, has been evading capture. Washington State was where the manhunt for him started. But after witnesses reported seeing him, it was later moved to Idaho’s Sawtooth National Forest. More unsettling information about his crime has now surfaced, chilling people to their core.
Travis is charged with the murder of his three daughters, Olivia, age five, Evelyn, age eight, and Paityn, age nine. Three children’s bodies were found on June 2 in Chelan County, Washington, close to the Rock Island Campground. According to the police report, his pickup was also discovered with two bloody handprints on the tailgate, only a hundred yards away. Authorities verified in July that Decker’s DNA profile was matched by the prints.
When the man had a planned custody visit with his three daughters, who were with his ex-wife Whitney Decker, the incident took place on May 30. According to the autopsy, the girls died from suffocation, which the sheriff’s office verified a week after the occurrence.
Decker’s status as the main suspect in the heinous killings of the three children was further cemented by the fresh evidence and the crime scene data. According to the court document information made public in June, all three of the children were discovered with their wrists zip-tied and plastic bags covering their heads, as ABC reported.
Additional information regarding the bodies’ discovery was made public on Monday. According to the officials, the third victim had three different bags over their head, while the other two victims each had two bags. Additionally, they mentioned that there were multiple cable ties on the ground close to the bodies.
The August 6 report from the Washington State Crime Lab verified that the plastic bags contained DNA profiles that matched Travis Decker. Furthermore, his DNA was found in the cable ties, establishing him as the only suspect in this crime.

Additionally, according to officials, Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia’s DNA matched that on the plastic bags. According to the detectives, the conclusion of this DNA study offers more proof that Travis Decker is the sole suspect in these killings.
The authorities are still having trouble finding the killer father, though, in spite of the fresh evidence. According to the sheriff’s office, they have no proof that Travis Decker is dead or alive as of Monday.
In a 20-minute body cam video that surfaced in July, he was last seen interacting with police in a parking lot following an accident. He was accused of killing his three daughters just a few days prior.
