The PresidentDonald Trump has long made it a practice to disparage others by assigning them offensive nicknames. This was specifically directed at his political rivals. However, it appears that things have changed, and Trump is now the target of some scathing monikers.
Trump recently declared during a news conference that the Presidential Fitness Test would be reinstated. Critics, however, noticed a number of his embarrassing incidents and linguistic blunders during this news conference. After that, they utilized it to give him the derogatory new nickname Dementia Don.
The purpose of the July 31, 2025, White House event was to highlight Trump’s dedication to fitness and health. Ironically, many questioned Trump’s own cognitive health after his speech and presence at the event. The moniker Dementia Don began to gain popularity on social media following the conference.
A number of people posted snippets of the awkward and perplexing events that transpired during the news conference.
Nonetheless, the meeting had a high point. Trump’s effort to identify WWE superstar Triple H was one of his most well-known gaffes. The wrestler stood only a few feet away.

Trump seemed perplexed, even though he claimed they had been friends for a long time. He was observed looking around the room as though he didn’t know where the wrestler was. The awkward silence was noted, though.
Memes and jests were all over social media. Alzheimer’s disease One user commented on X, “Don forgot who HHH was.” Trump vs. Dementia in next year’s Wrestlemania and Dementia’s going over, brother, jokingly said another user.
The embarrassing times did not end here. Trump also had trouble pronouncing Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. This instance served as a reminder of all the instances in the past where Trump has mispronounced the names of persons and cities. During one of his addresses, he even referred to the United States as such.

Trump’s call to Tesla Tesler is another example. Before Trump started criticizing Biden for similar mistakes and became the focus of such scrutiny, these blunders could have been minor and unimportant. Additionally, these fueled the flames and reinforced the belief that his mental acuity might be waning.
Trump’s very low level of enthusiasm throughout the event was another cause for alarm. Trump typically speaks loudly and animatedly at news conferences. However, Trump appeared exhausted at this specific event.

Trump has never looked more worn out and exhausted, and this was primarily evident during his various appearances over the past 12 months. Trump seemed to have fallen asleep for a moment during a different White House meeting on healthcare issues. Even this particular instance was widely shared on the internet.
The 79-year-old president appeared to be finding it difficult to keep up with the demands of public appearances and daily meetings and activities.
The president’s nickname, Dementia Don, has strangely offended Trump supporters who have laughed with him when he has disparaged disabled journalists, women, and politicians.
They have referred to the term as politically motivated and mean-spirited, but it appears that the internet has caught on and is enjoying it.
