The plans to construct a huge ballroom at the White House, valued at $200 million, have been confirmed by President Donald Trump. This week, the confirmation was received. The lavishness of Mar a Lago is reportedly the inspiration for the ballroom. The historic East Wing will be partially replaced in its construction.
First Lady Melania Trump’s office will also be temporarily relocated, though it is anticipated that this won’t interfere with her work schedule given she has spent the majority of her second term outside the White House.
The employees of Melania’s East Wing will be temporarily moved during the construction. This is so that renovations can proceed without completely revamping the mansion.
With an area of 90,000 square feet, the projected White House State Ballroom will dwarf current event venues. With space for 650 people, it will more than triple the East Room’s capacity of 200 people.
It is anticipated that construction will be completed well before the conclusion of Trump’s tenure in early 2029, with work starting in September.

Since Truman’s 1952 restorations, this is the Executive Mansion’s most extensive facelift. It will be the first significant structural enlargement in more than seven decades.Trump previously renovated the Rose Garden by putting enormous flagpoles on the lawn and replacing the grass with stone pavers.
Additionally, he added cherubs and gold leaf to the Oval Office, giving it a Mar a Lago d’cor appearance.

She has had a significantly lower profile than previous first ladies since accepting the position. She has been using video to communicate with her team and handling problems behind the scenes.
The concept has been criticized as a gilded vanity project and narcissistic overreach. They are concerned that this expansion will make the White House appear like a beach estate, therefore they are not impressed.
