Donald Trump is probably going to be remembered as a president who brought about a number of significant reforms during his tenure. Surprisingly, a development that is causing conflicting responses on social media this time has nothing to do with an executive order. Here’s why Trump’s transformation of the Oval Office is deemed ridiculous by online users.
To date, President Trump has made a number of contentious changes to the White House. The public has strongly reacted negatively to his decision to replace the grass lawn in the Rose Garden with concrete. People have also reacted similarly to the decision to remove a portrait of former President Barack Obama.
However, his most recent renovation choice may be the one that has drawn the most criticism to yet. The President has customized the Oval Office, as evidenced by images shared on Reddit. The sharp contrast is evident in the two images, which were shot under the Biden and Trump administrations, respectively.
In the 2022 image, Biden and Volodymyr Zelenskyydeep are seen conversing in the Oval Office. The more recent image was shot in the same room as a meeting attended by the Ukrainian president.
Trump’s transformation of the White House is only becoming more complicated.
He has now affixed gold rubbish on the mantle of the fireplace since, obviously, nothing is immune from his ostentatious craving.

It’s difficult to overlook all of the golden-toned accents that now adorn the space in the latter image. The golden frames with the former presidents’ photos hanging over the fireplace were the only gold touches in the space.
Trump has displayed a number of additional photographs with an even more lavish gold frame on the wall. There are also a number of golden urns scattered around the fireplace. With the fireplace now completely covered in gold urns, the room’s magnificence is difficult to overlook.
The pictures also show a number of gilded decorations. The place is currently decorated with Trump’s name on golden coasters. Even if the President’s passion for all things gold is nothing new, the adjustments have managed to garner criticism from the public.

One user said on Reddit that this looks so ridiculous. A second noted that it appears they went to every Hobby Lobby within twenty-five miles to find any gold-colored decorations and placed them on the wall.
Another joked that if you asked AI to create the prettiest rendition of the Oval Office, it would produce this exact image without Zelenskyy. The golden additions were described as gaudy by another. The same individual continued by pointing out how excessive the décor is.
