The PresidentOne of the most well-liked politicians in the world right now is Donald Trump. At the same time, his family, medical history, favorite food, and lifestyle choices are all the focus of the internet. However. Beyond all of this, there is something else that has gained attention. When Trump returned to the White House for his second term, he immediately began personalizing the Oval Office.
Already, the area had begun to take on the appearance of a miniature Trump Tower, complete with gold accents throughout. His unique style was evident throughout the space, from golden-framed photographs of the founding fathers to gold vases on the mantle of the fireplace.
To fit the opulent gold decor, even the carpet was renovated.
According to The List, the change didn’t end there. More elaborate gold carvings and embellishments were added to the office’s walls and fireplace over time. Donald Trump claimed in a Fox News interview that the golden décor in his office represents good fortune, despite many people believing that he redecorated it to flaunt his wealth.
All of them are gold. Angels are involved. “Angels are said to bring good luck, and with what they’ve done over the last four years, we need a lot of luck in this country,” he remarked in a Fox News interview.

In the meantime, during a recent White House press conference. During a series of questions, Trump veered off subject and began discussing how much nicer the White House today is than it was during Barack Obama’s tenure as the 44th president of the United States from 2009 to 2017.
“This room is more beautiful now that I put up pictures that were in storage for a hundred years,” Donald Trump said. The Declaration of Independence is now in here as well. Barack Obama, on the other hand, had the same room decorated with neutral wallpaper and only featured photographs of the American founding fathers.

Trump detractors and internet users also criticized the office’s flashy and tacky dripping gold décor. The Oval Office’s continuous modifications point to a desire to continuously surround himself with symbols of grandeur and wealth. Forget subdued homages to history or reverent national symbols, another scathing critic observed. It appears that someone purchased a large quantity of Midas Touch paint and refused to squander any of it.
Robin Givhan, a critic of fashion and culture, said that the office’s democratically grounded symbolic significance may be weakened by the excessive d cor. Givhan clarified in an interview with Morning Edition (via NPR) that the Oval Office’s legitimacy has always stemmed from democracy and the people, not from ornamentation.

People are concerned that the Oval Office may lose its true charm, even though its unique oval shape was intended as a tribute to the White House’s Blue Room, which was inspired by former President George Washington, who used the oval-shaped space for formal receptions as a symbolic way to honor the office of the presidency.
By the end of his time, some people are sarcastically wondering if the White House would be completely covered in gold, making it appear less like the official headquarters and more like a temple dripping in gold.
