Donald Trump’s Hand Makeup Returns—And So Do the Questions About His Health

Published On:

The strange hand cosmetics worn by Donald Trump is very popular. The Republican president was seen wearing a thick layer of makeup on the back of his right hand on Thursday as he was at the Federal Reserve headquarters. Now, Trump’s longstanding aversion to handshakes is being discussed once more.

Additionally, pictures of his makeup-covered hands appeared earlier this month. The Daily Beast then requested an explanation from the White House. His employees, however, refuted any medical justifications. The White House asserted that his hands’ bruises were the result of a work-related injury—basically, prolonged handshaking. In order to hide the bruises, he had to use a concealer.

As a man of the people, President Trump shakes hands with more Americans every day than any other president in history. Trump’s press secretary at the time, Karoline Leavitt, said that his dedication is unwavering and that he demonstrates that every single day.

Leavitt disclosed two days later that the POTUS’s swollen legs and bruised hands caused some questions about his health. In the end, the White House medical unit gave him a thorough evaluation.

President Trump reported experiencing modest lower leg edema in recent weeks. According to Karoline, the White House medical unit carefully considered this issue out of caution and in accordance with standard medical treatment.

It was discovered that Trump has Chronic Venous Insufficiency, or CVI, a disorder that arises when veins are unable to adequately regulate blood flow. Since his hand makeup has returned, it is reasonable to presume that the condition has returned as well.

But this time, there has been no confirmation from the White House.

Donald Trump, meanwhile, was an agermaphobe who was constantly terrified of handshakes. The now 79-year-old President claimed in his 1997 book The Art of the Comeback that he detested it so much that he even thought about running a series of newspaper ads advocating for the elimination of the handshake.

The simple act of shaking hands is one of the ills of American culture. And this awful tradition appears to get worse the more well-known and prosperous one gets. “I’m a clean-hands freak,” he continued.

The main benefit to shaking hands before eating, in my opinion, is that I usually eat less. For instance, I would never eat bread after shaking someone’s hand. I frequently ponder why people come up to shake my hand, even when I’m just strolling down the street. Why take a chance on getting a cold?

Needless to say, given his opinion of the gesture as barbarous, it may have negatively impacted his ability to shake hands during his political career.
