The Newton School Board meeting is scheduled to start thirty minutes earlier than usual tonight. The start time of 6:00 p.m., according to Director of Business Services Tim Bloom, was chosen to accommodate Superintendent Tom Messenger’s quarterly review, which will take place in closed session at the conclusion of the meeting. The district’s qualifying policy for free student transportation to and from school, as well as updates on the upgrades being made to Aurora Heights and Thomas Jefferson Elementary Schools, are also on the agenda for tonight. The E.J.H. Beard Administration Center, located at 1302 First Avenue East, is the location of Newton School Board meetings.
