Errors Cost Knoxville Softball In Loss To Davis County

Published On:

In a game that was stopped in the fifth inning due to bad weather, the Knoxville Softball Squad lost to Davis County 15–8 on Monday night after giving up two strong innings. The Panthers responded for six of their own runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to put the lead at 12-7, but the Mustangs scored five runs in the first inning and then six more in the fourth to take a 12-1 lead. However, Knoxville lost the game after three more in the top of the fifth. With five mistakes and nine walks, free passes proved to be Knoxville’s downfall. Jordyn Counts had four RBI and finished 2/4 on offense for the Panthers. Iselynn Prevo, Macy Cox, and Addy Dunkin each had two hits. Tonight, 95.3 KNIA will broadcast live coverage of the Panthers’ trip to Pella.
