On Thursday night, the Indianola City Council convened in special session. Every year, on June 30th, close to the fiscal year’s end, the council convenes a special meeting to approve year-end transfers and pay year-end claims. A liquor license renewal for the I Towner Stop liquor store was also deferred by the council, awaiting a public hearing on July 7. Because of the criminal activities in the region, the Indianola Police Department advised against renewing the license.
