Qualifying Indianola businesses can apply for Main Street Iowa Challenge Grants, which provide funding for physical construction projects that improve certain Main Street Iowa districts. Applications that are very competitive include:
projects that use preservation-based techniques and high-quality design.initiatives that complement the particular aims and objectives set forth by your local district.significant building restoration initiatives that expand commercial, residential, or employment prospects.initiatives that show a need for more money to close a budgetary imbalance.projects that can be finished within the two-year grant contract period and have a well defined scope of work.
The grant can be used for government or religious buildings, building deconstruction or destruction, or residential use in first-floor storefront spaces. The range of grant grants is $25,000 to $100,000. Requests for design help must be submitted by July 30th, and funding must be awarded by August 27th. The winner will be revealed later this autumn.
