Indianola School Board Approves Process to Appoint New Board Member

Published On:

The Indianola School Board met in regular session Monday. The board set a special meeting for June 26th at 7am to replace board member Rob Keller, who sent a letter of resignation after moving out of the district.

Per board policy, the board will appoint an individual to fill the position until the next regular election, which will take place in November. During that election, the vacated position will appear on the ballot and the individual elected to fill the vacated position will be elected for the next two years.

The board approved the 2025-26 district instructional leadership, a bid to replace phones, the 2024 audit report, and a 10-cent raise for nearly all district meal prices.

After the meeting, the board met in a work session to receive training from the Iowa Association of School Boards.
