The Indianola softball team went 1-2 in a tournament held in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, falling to Clear Creek-Amana and Cedar Rapids Kennedy and taking down Burlington.
The Indians fell to #7 in class 4A Clear Creek-Amana 11-6, then recovered quickly with a three-run first inning to take a lead they wouldn’t relinquish in a 9-1 victory over Burlington, and then after holding the Cougars scoreless through the first four innings and earning a narrow 1-0 advantage, Kennedy plated three runs in the fifth to earn a 3-1 victory. Indianola is now 10-7 on the season, and will next play at Oskaloosa for a doubleheader Monday evening.
