After just a few days of tending to her son, Nicholas Niko Robert Riccio, Leavitt immediately went back to work. She told The Conservateur, “I’m going to turn on the television and watch the rally today.” “Looks like I’m going back to work,” I remarked, turning to face my spouse. The president practically risked his life to win this election, she continued. I should at least return to work as soon as possible.

Her decision was not universally praised. One X user said that Karoline Leavitt left her four-day-old child to work a full-time, extremely demanding job in the White House. Nevertheless, Leavitt remained steadfast, telling The New York Post that President Trump isn’t given enough credit for the working mothers and women he has supported over the years in both politics and business.
Did fans spot another detail? Photos in Leavitt’s office showed her, her kid, and even Trump during a West Wing tour she gave to podcaster Kate Mackz in April 2025, but not her husband. No images of her husband contributing significantly to the campaign? Online, one user left a comment.
Trump even occupies her free time. She shared a photo of her White House celebration on Instagram over the Fourth of July weekend, writing, “Best weekend of the year celebrating the best country in the world.” She also posted a vacation photo from Mar-a-Lago in May, showing her happy and at ease next to her family—once again in Trump country.
Leavitt continues to be a steadfast supporter of her boss, but it may be difficult to distinguish between her personal preoccupation and her professional commitment.
