Knoxville Independence Day Activities

On Friday, Knoxville will celebrate Independence Day.

For the first time, the Knoxville Cancer Relay will host the annual Freedom 5K at 8:00 am to kick out the morning. The bike procession will begin at Knoxville High School at 10:30 and end at Young’s Park. All ages are welcome to participate in the bike parade, which will feature prizes for the best-decorated bike as well as popsicles for everyone. Approximately 9:30 p.m. is when the fireworks will begin in the evening.The Knoxville Municipal Airport will be the starting point for the fireworks. The city would like guests to know that parking on Highways 14, 5, and 92 will not be allowed. The airport’s business parking facilities, including Wal-Mart, Weiler, Farm and Home, and others, are open to spectators.
