At its meeting on Monday night, the Knoxville School Board authorized the replacement of the high school gym’s sound system.
The board accepted an estimate from Ardent Lighting for the installation and Daktronics for the sound system, which came to slightly over $36,000. The high school gym’s sound system will be completely replaced as part of the replacement, and the controls will be moved to the athletic storage room. Craig Mobley, the school’s business manager, claims that the previous sound system was subpar.
Anybody who has attended an event in the last few years, whether it athletic, any other kind of event, graduation, or something similar, is undoubtedly aware that the sound system was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced because it was getting old.
It is anticipated that the sound system replacement will be finished this summer.
