ICE Barbie Kristi Noem reacted strongly when it was revealed that she was living rent-free in an opulent condo usually reserved for senior Coast Guard officials. The secretary of the Department of Homeland Security is currently residing in Quarters 1, a residence at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., according to a Washington Postexpo.
In an interview with Fox News on Monday, she claimed that she was compelled to go to the Coast Guard commandant’s home by the media. The broadcaster, Sean Hannity, admitted that media doxxing and threats on your life were the reasons Noemand and her family had to move.
Noem said, “Temporarily,” ignoring the bit about her life being in danger. I continue to pay rent in my apartment in Navy Yard, but I had to leave because the media made my address, apartment, logistics, window locations, and other facts public, and the threats were so great that I had to temporarily move somewhere, she added.
After the Daily Mail first published images near her Navy Yard residence, Noem says the Washington Post repeated the action. She went on to say that this is the true carelessness, heartlessness, and lack of consideration that the media is currently operating in.
It appears that the statement is not entirely accurate. In fact, the Washington Post revealed that she was not paying for her complimentary accommodation and did not reveal her previous location. The Daily Mail featured images of a large number of residential complexes without identifying Noem’s home. She is also protected by a security crew, however they weren’t particularly effective when a bandit took her wallet from a Capitol Hill burger place.

Noem also managed to mock her political opponents by calling them socialists. “I will continue to get up every day and fight for President Trump’s policies because they put Americans first,” she raged, “because we live in a time when socialists and Hakeem Jeffries are supporting criminals and illegals and prioritizing them over Americans.”

As DHS chief, Noem is in charge of the Coast Guard and could give the appearance that she is misusing her position of power. Active and retired Coast Guard officers have voiced their concerns about the problem, especially given the lack of housing options for senior agency staff.
A DHS spokesperson previously defended Barbie Noem’s living status by claiming that it was because she was so severely targeted and doxxed that she could no longer live in her own apartment.
