MAGA School Chief Ryan Walters Rages Over Nude Video Scandal

Oklahoma’s top education official is upset about a video that allegedly shows nude women playing on his office television during an executive session. Ryan Walters, a Republican state superintendent of public education and a staunch Trump supporter, addressed allegations that a screen in his office showed pictures of nude women during Thursday’s State Board of Education meeting.

Ryan Walters, who has referred to current education as ridiculous, wrote on X Sunday that any implication that a device of mine was used to stream illicit content on the television screen is completely untrue. He mandated last year that the Bible be taught in all of his state’s public schools.

There is absolutely no truth to any suggestion of impropriety, and I have no idea what was on the TV screen at the time of the purported occurrence.

Two board members, Ryan Deatherage and Becky Carson, told The Oklahoman that they were shocked to see nude women on Walters’ TV screen during the meeting. Those are nude women, I thought, Carson told the site. Then I said, “No, hold on a second.” Those aren’t nude, and they’re definitely not nude women. My eye is being tricked by something. They may simply be wearing tan body suits. This is just incredibly strange.

Carson went on to say, “I saw them just walking across the screen, and I’m like, no, an investigation is in progress following the occurrence.” The two board members claim that after being informed of the issue, board chair Ryan Walters turned off the television without apologizing or providing an explanation. The conference continued.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Trump-loving school authorities claimed that his attacks were motivated by politics. He claimed that these lies are the last resort of a dysfunctional establishment terrified of genuine reform. The principles of the Oklahomans who elected me to challenge the existing quo are being attacked, not just me.

In a previous statement, Walters told KOKH Fox 25: Some of these board members are obviously dishonest and unable to conceal their political goal. That they are more concerned with causing distractions than completing tasks for Oklahoma families is disheartening.

Ryan Walters’ overtly religious and partisan views have frequently sparked controversy. In November, he tried in vain to have a video of him praying for Trump shown in schools.

He has been vocal in his efforts to have books that he views as pornographic—such as the best-selling books The Kite Runner and The Glass Castle—banned in schools because they make references to child sex abuse. He also identified dozens of books that dealt with LGBTQ+ issues.

He has been temporarily barred from using millions of taxpayer dollars to install a Bible in every Oklahoma public school classroom from the fifth to the twelfth grade, while the state’s Supreme Court considers a lawsuit brought by civil rights organizations that alleges a potential violation of the separation of church and state.
