June 20, 2025During the last twenty-four hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department has responded to forty-one service requests, including but not limited to: seven extra patrol checks, eight attempts at paper service, five motorist assistants, five reckless drivers, two accidents, two reports of suspicious activity, one illegal burn, one suspicious vehicle, one rescue, one fraud, one follow-up call, one incomplete 911, one animal neglect, one theft, one returned call, one assistance to another agency, one domestic, and one violation of a no-contact order.The Marion County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received 85 calls over the last twenty-four hours, including 28 911 calls.There are now 24 inmates incarcerated at Marion County Jail.Two subjects were booked into the Marion County jail during the last twenty-four hours.
