The Melcher-Dallas baseball and softball teams had mixed results from their early Tuesday matchup with their bitter rivals from Twin Cedars. Softball’s five-run fifth inning helped them defeat their opponents 6-2. The Saints’ top hitter, Gabby Overgaard, went 2/4 with a single home run in the 7th. The triumph was earned by Lotty Nolte. The baseball team managed to score in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the game, but they lost 5-4 against Twin Cedars. Melcher-Dallas’ top hitter, Evan Schrader, went 2/4 with an RBI. Reece Chiabotta accepted the defeat.
