Michelle Obama isn’t afraid to point out her husband’s poor parenting. The former First Lady revealed how their daughter frequently outsmarted Barack Obama without his even realizing it. She also acknowledged that she couldn’t stand her husband.
The mother of two discussed how Barack had different relationships with both of their daughters. In an episode of her podcast, IMO, Michelle explored the dynamics of her family.
She started by disclosing that Malia, her eldest daughter, has always managed to achieve what she wants. The former First Lady also mentioned how her husband was the one who was duped by their oldest daughter.
Michelle said in the episode, “I would tell Barack that when it comes to [our] oldest Malia, she will figure out who you are and what you like.” The mother of two described the specific trait as peculiar and added that Malia had always been like way.
The former First Lady talked about how, as a teenager, Mali went out just like any other. “I’m going out this weekend, but I’m going to go in and give dad like 15 minutes,” she would say, the 61-year-old continued. Michelle described in detail how their daughter would surpass the former president in intelligence.
According to her mother, Malia frequently turned to having serious political conversations with her father in order to gain his attention. The former First Lady went on to say that Malia’s interest in state issues frequently pleased her husband.

She would then say, “Okay, well, I’m gone.””I just had an amazing conversation with Malia, and I’m like, Oh, yeah,” Michelle remembered, chuckling as Barack would exit the treaty room. Then she pointed out that their younger daughter was a different story.
Growing up, Sasha, now 24 years old, was very catlike. Her mother compares her to a cat, pointing out that both are uninterested in pleasing others. “Don’t pet me, don’t touch me,” Michelle disclosed.
Since she was little, Sasha has had a strong-willed disposition. The behavior even earned the youngest Obama a label from her father. “Well,” says Barack, “she’s difficult.” “No,” I said. Recalling her talk with her husband, the former First Lady said, “The first one was a pleaser, right?”
