A hectic weather week in the region came to a conclusion on Thursday when several severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for south central Iowa. From 4:30 to just after 6 p.m., the KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team provided live coverage, including many updates from Weatherology meteorologists, for severe thunderstorm warnings that affected Jasper and Warren Counties. Many locations in south central Iowa received additional rainfall levels ranging from 1/2 to 1 1/2. The National Weather Service predicts that while there will be increased possibilities of rain late Sunday and Monday, there will be drier conditions for the majority of the weekend.
