The Panthers defeated Cardinal 10-5 on Wednesday night thanks to a five-run rally that began with a two-run home run in the ninth inning, making Lincoln Norris the hero for the Knoxville Baseball Squad for the second time in less than a week. After seven innings, the two sides fought to a 5-5 draw. After tying the game in the sixth and pushing ahead in the top of the seventh on a wild pitch that scored two runs, Knoxville appeared to be in control. That prepared the ground for Norris’ valiant actions. He had two RBI and went 3/5. As of right now, Knoxville is 8-3 in the South Central Conference and 14-8 overall. In the meantime, the softball team only played two full innings against Cardinal when rain stopped play. The Panthers were ahead 6-2 going into the third inning. The contest will resume on Friday night when the Panthers return. As a result, the planned home game against ADM has been canceled. Tonight, both teams will travel to Davis County.
