Today marks the return of both Norwalk summer sports teams to competition.

Following a crucial game that was postponed last Thursday, the Class 4A third-ranked Warrior softball team takes against the 4A second-ranked Dallas Center-Grimes. With Norwalk ahead 2-0 in the top of the fifth inning, the game will resume at noon. With a win, the Warriors may force a tie for the top spot in the Little Hawkeye Conference rankings. At the moment, they are 15-2 in conference play and 26-3 overall. DC-G has a record of 14-1 and 26-3.

After a rain-soaked game on June 18, Norwalk Softball defeated Pella Christian by forfeit.

Tonight at 7:00 p.m., the Norwalk baseball team will play a non-conference game at Ankeny Centennial. The Warriors enter the game with an overall record of 11–12. The Jaguars, who are 18-9, are rated ninth in Class 4A.
