Donald Trump has garnered media attention for his interior design choices in addition to his political selections since he returned to the White House! It’s funny, isn’t it? No, not for the 79-year-old, but perhaps for us. He has completely changed the Oval Office with gold accents and large ornamental elements that have shocked Grammy-winning singer Jack White as well as netizens.
White recently referred to the sudden change under Trump’s leadership as shameful. Additionally, Jack White shared a picture of Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sitting in the Oval Office, which was furnished with trophies, elaborate trinkets, and gold-framed artwork, on Instagram after Trump’s high-profile meeting with Zelensky on August 18.
White didn’t hold back when comparing the space to a garish, gold-leafed, and obscene professional wrestler’s dressing area, according to The Daily Beast. Sarcastically, he continued, “I’m also looking forward to the UFC match on the front lawn.”
White’s distaste for Trump is well known, and he has publicly supported Sanders in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary and performed at a rally for him. After Trump won the 2024 election, he earlier referred to him as a fascist and a potential dictator.
White wrote, “Just look at his disgusting taste.” Would you give this swindler the nuclear codes, let alone purchase an old automobile from him? That mantle would be ideal for a gold-plated Trump Bible, perhaps accompanied by a pair of Trump shoes. He wrote, “What a disgrace to American history.”
But even as he penned his criticism of the president, White commended Zelensky: Also shown in this photograph is a REAL national leader dressed in a black suit. These remarks followed Trump’s meeting with the Ukrainian president and other European leaders at the peace summit, a much-awaited political gathering designed to discover ways to put an end to the protracted conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Because of this, internet users have already criticized Trump’s interior renovation and labeled it tacky after he said he redecorated it better than Obama during his administration. Jack White, meantime, had sued Trump for utilizing his music during the campaign. (via The Guardian).
The problem began in August 2024 when Margo Martin, Trump’s campaign deputy communications director, shared a video on social media that featured Seven Nation Army. Before Jack White saw it and blasted the government, Martin later removed the post. Oh, you fascists, don’t even consider appropriating my music. My lawyers are suing me over this.
Trump, however, takes great pride in his interior selections. He has another plan, according to recent reports, which calls for building a $200 million, 90,000-square-foot ballroom in the East Wing prior to his four-year term in 2029. Karoline Leavitt, the press secretary, confirmed this information.
According to her, the majority of the formal events will be held in a space that is roughly 90,000 square feet (8,360 square meters) in size and can accommodate 650 people. McCrery Architects, whose founder, James McCrery, was chosen by Trump in 2019 and previously served on the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, is leading the ballroom’s layout.
Breaking: An expansion is coming!
A brand-new, 90,000 square foot ballroom that will be enjoyed for centuries to come will be built starting in September.

These incidents demonstrate that Trump is a man who, in his own words, will act in accordance with his own judgment and is unaffected by outside opinions. Although some may view this as a stubborn quality, it demonstrates that he is capable of enduring the highs and lows of being a public figure. He has a high sense of self-worth and is used to hostility, opposition, and media defamation.
