A public procession through the streets of Birmingham will commemorate Ozzy Osbourne’s passing and the significant contribution he made to music history and the lives of fans around the globe.
A big personality demands a huge farewell, and Ozzy is one of the biggest!
Devotees of all ages and faiths were able to keep the flames blazing bright in the rock and roll church for years thanks to the Prince of Darkness.
Greetings, Ozzy
I will miss you. Not nearly as much as Mrs. Osbourne, your amazing soulmate. We appreciate all that you have done for us.
I’ll see you over there!

Fans all across the world were reminded by Black Sabbath’s final performance earlier this month why Ozzy and the boys were so crucial in making heavy metal a formidable force and why Metallica and Guns N Roses lined up in order to share the same stage as Ozzy and Sabbath in the city that helped create the Brummie rockers.
Additionally, the Paranoid hitmaker will take his farewell trip in that same place before his family burying him in a private ceremony at a later time.
Hi there!According to reports, Ozzy, who passed away at the age of 76, will be remembered with a cortege procession in Birmingham.
A hearse and a convoy of additional vehicles will be part of the parade, along with a number of local musicians.
The parade honoring Ozzy will travel down Broad Street in Birmingham before arriving at the Black Sabbath bench and bridge. It has become a spot that is practically sacrosanct to the Prince of Darkness, adorned with flowers and tributes.
As a thank you to the fans and to celebrate Ozzy’s last departure in style, Sharon Osbourne and her family are paying for the entire parade.
In cooperation with the Osbourne family, who have generously covered all related expenses, Birmingham City Council has worked diligently with its partners over the weekend to plan a civil and secure public gathering, according to a council spokesperson.
“Ozzy was more than just a music legend; he was a son of Birmingham,” stated Councillor Zafar Iqbal MBE, JP, the Lord Mayor of Birmingham.
Following his well-received performance at the Back to the Beginning event in Villa Park earlier this month and his recent Freedom of the City award, it was crucial for the city to provide a respectful and appropriate homage before a private family funeral.
We are aware of the significance of this event for his followers. We are honored to celebrate it here with his devoted family in the location where it all started, and we appreciate their kind offer to cover the costs so that the city can give him the send-off he deserves.
At a special occasion in Birmingham this month, Ozzy and his Back Sabbath comrades were named Honorary Freemen. Ozzy stated, “I first put an advertisement in a music store in town.” I wouldn’t be sitting here right now if these people hadn’t knocked on my door. It seems to have gone by quite fast. It’s incredible. My father, who took out a loan to purchase a microphone for me, comes to mind. I wish he were here right now. He would be really proud, in my opinion. I am a brummie and I will remain such forever. Forever Birmingham!
