PCM Baseball Defeats Greene County Thursday

In a Heart of Iowa Conference game, the PCM baseball team upset Greene County at home on Thursday night.

To end their regular season, the Mustangs trounced the Rams 10-0 in five innings. The winning pitcher, Kaleb DeVries, collected nine strikeouts while allowing just two hits, no runs, and no walks over the course of five innings. Trigg Steenhoek, Jaden Houser, and Konnor Bell all went 2-3 and combined for five RBI, while Alex Wendt went 3-3 at the plate with a double and three RBI. With a walk, hit by pitch, and stolen base, DeVries went 1-2 at the plate.

The PCM baseball team has an overall record of 8-13 and a conference record of 7-8 at the end of the regular season. In the first round of the Class 2A Substate 6 tournament, the Mustangs will now play East Marshall on Saturday.
