PCM Softball Goes 1-1 at Roland-Story Tournament, Baseball Falls

The baseball team lost to the Norseman on Friday, while the PCM softball team lost 1-1 at a Roland-Story competition.

The fourth-ranked Mustang softball team lost to Grinnell 4-0 in game two after defeating Glenwood 6-1 in the first game. Libby Winters pitched two innings with no hits or runs and five strikeouts, Camden Webb pitched five innings with nine hits and four runs and three strikeouts, and Rylee Parsons pitched five innings with two hits, one run, and five strikeouts. Kyra Naeve went 2-5 with a double, RBI, and walk, while Addison Steenhoek went 3-6 with two doubles on the day. The PCM softball team will play Van Meter on Monday, bringing their season record to 19-3.

On Friday night, PCM baseball lost to Roland-Story 6-3 in a single varsity game. Izaac Bagby went 1-3, Trigg Steenhoek went 1-2 with a double, Kaleb DeVries went 2-4, and Trenner Van Dyke went 1-3 with three runs, a home run, and three RBI. The PCM baseball team will play again on Monday against Lynnville-Sully after dropping to 7-10 on the season.
