Pleasantville Pitching Staff Best in the State

The Pleasantville baseball team currently has the best pitching staff in the state statistically.


The #2 ranked Trojans rank first in the state in opponent batting average at .119 which leads the next closest team by a sizable margin. Pleasantville also leads the state in team ERA at 1.25, leads the state in fewest hits allowed with 40, and are tied for first in the state with fewest runs allowed at 27 and have the fewest earned runs allowed at 17. The Trojans also have the best mark statewide for walks and hits per innings pitched at 0.88. Pleasantville has four pitchers that have pitched 16 or more innings this season who have an ERA under at 1.52 or under. Among those pitchers are Braylon Bingham, Caylor Jones, Brayden Kennedy and Easton Cox who have combined for 110 strikeouts.


The Trojan baseball team is a perfect 15-0 on the season and will travel to Des Moines Christian on Monday.
