As summer travel takes started, TSA has reminded everyone of its liquid rule. These are some considerations to make if you plan to pack your necessities in a carry-on bag.
As we all know, according to the Transportation Security Administration, allliquidsshould be under 3.4 ounces, including water bottles, skincare products, and hand sanitizer.
Some common necessities, however, are prohibited from being carried in your hand luggage in excess of what is permitted. Having these things on you could get you into problems at security checks and cause your trip to be delayed needlessly. Certain materials that aren’t really liquids are among these unexpected items. For example, you are only allowed to bring 3.4 ounces (100 ml) of soft cheese when you return to the United States from your vacation in the European Union.
Sauces, jams, chutneys, olives, antipasti, and any other food that contains or may arrive in liquid form are all subject to the same restriction. According to the official website, TSA only allows 100ml of these products in carry-on luggage, even if they are permitted in checked bags. You would be requested to get rid of it if you carried more than is allowed.
Protein powder should also not be brought in your carry-on. Even if it’s not prohibited, we advise against bringing it in your carry-on luggage.
My protein powder caused the TSA to put my carry-on through the x-ray three times.

This TSA rule has a good rationale, despite the fact that it may sound strange. Protein powders typically cause confusion for X-ray equipment, which may lead to further scrutiny by agents. In the end, leaving your protein powder at home is the best option because it might cause some needless delays. You can put it in your checked bag if you really need it.

It’s interesting to note that, despite the restrictions on these basic necessities in your carry-on luggage, you are still allowed to bring one item, which is not common. You read correctly: scissors. If you want to spend your time on crafts, you can bring a small pair of scissors with you to the United States.
But only scissors with blades shorter than 4 inches are permitted. In order to prevent any problems, please place larger pairs inside your checked luggage. It’s also critical to remember that different airlines have varying policies regarding scissors. Therefore, before packing your things, always verify again and visit the website of your airline.
It is usually a good idea to check the country from where you are flying if you are traveling to the United States from outside. The regulations governing the check-in of luggage vary by country.
