Enamored with Princess Diana, a fan has taken out four mortgages to purchase 2730 of the late royal’s possessions. The estimated value of the woman’s museum collection is in the tens of millions of dollars. Here is how Renae Plant’s life was altered by a single meeting with the deceased princess.
Diana and Renae Plant met during the Princess of Wales’s trip to Australia. Charles and Diana made an official trip to Australia in 1983. Plant, who was in school, skipped class to go to a factory in Yandina, Queensland. Diana, who was on tour at the time, met the Australian there.
Now fifty-four, Plant remembers how enamored she was. The woman continues, “She was so beautiful.” She also related how someone had handed her a clay platypus, which Diana had dropped. She remembers rushing to the police and telling them the same thing.

The goods were purchased at Julien’s Auctions’ Princess Diana’s Style & A Royal Collection sale. According to reports, the Australian woman bid $700,000 for Diana’s Caring Dress. When the Princess made her second tour of Australia in 1988, she wore the Caring Dress.
The Princess Diana Museum of the Princess & Platypus Foundation’s official website features the collection of plants. Renae’s meeting with the Princess inspired the name of the website. The current value of the Australian woman’s collection is in the tens of millions of dollars.
The collections include around 2,730 objects related to Diana. Among these is the famous Versace gown the queen wore on the Harper’s Bazaar cover in 1991. The diamond and pearl earrings that Queen Elizabeth gave the Princess are also on display in Plant’s collection.

The Falcon Dress is one of the things that Renae recently purchased. Catherine Walker created the garment specifically for the occasion. Diana wore the outfit with the silk embroidery during on her Gulf Tour in 1986.
Plant expresses her gratitude for the opportunity to carry on Diana’s legacy. She also mentioned that she believes the late royal was keeping an eye on her. She was certain that the Princess Diana Museum had to have those treasures. Renae Plant says, “Angels were watching over me, and I know she was one of them for sure.”
