For a crippled woman, Elon Musk’s Neurolinktech has achieved yet another triumph. A woman from Louisiana who had been disabled for twenty years used her thoughts to write her name! Audrey Crews has been a quadriplegic her entire life after suffering catastrophic injuries in a car accident when she was only sixteen.
She became paralyzed due to injuries to her C4 and C5 vertebrae. She has been able to use her thoughts and brain to write her name nearly twenty years after the occurrence. This is made possible by Neuralink, which Elon Musk founded.
She was implanted with a Neuralink brain chip, which allowed her to write her name with her thoughts. The microchip’s technology enables users to transform ideas into actions. It converts them into actions by using the brain’s neuronal connections and messages.
Clinical trials are under underway. The technology is being used by paralyzed people to manipulate computers or move robotic limbs.Numerous persons with physical disabilities have regained their independence because to this technology.
Due of their limited mobility following accidents, they previously had unmet medical demands. They have the ability to open up new communication possibilities.
In fact, this is rather awesome. This really interests me. It’s enough that she hasn’t been able to write her name for 20 years, though I’m not sure how paralyzed she is. Really awesome. Well done. Well done, Elons team. You are all genuinely altering the course of history and the future.gkWC4CnhYO pic.twitter.com/

Similar technology, which is presently undergoing testing, has been utilized by Musk to enable blind people to see. According to Audrey, her implant procedure went well, and everything are going well so far. She also disclosed the specifics of her procedure.
Along with a tiny chip, they created a hole in her skull to add 128 threads to her motor cortex. In sloppy handwriting, she used the thoughts to write her name. I’m working on it, she joked. It will require practice to be flawless because she is writing for the first time in twenty years.
Thanks to the @neuralinkbrain-computer interface, Audrey Crews, who has been paraplegic since the age of 16, was able to write her name using just her thoughts for the first time in 20 years. She can draw, type, and scroll thanks to a little implant in her motor cortex, which gives her digital independencepic.twitter.com/ra9dOQHfn6.

She described the technology’s operation. She can operate the computer with her thoughts thanks to the BCI. She will also eventually be able to control other devices. She did clarify, though, that the chip will not enable her to walk again. It only functions with telepathy thus far. She is the first woman to do this.
She was able to share further sketches and explained that it’s the same as clicking with a pointer finger and a cursor that moves like a wrist. This telepathic movement is becoming second nature to her.
