A 35-year-old lady from Lewisham, London named Habiba Naveed is involved in one of the most bizarre criminal cases to appear before British courts in recent years. Habiba had previously garnered media attention when she claimed to be the late Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed’s hidden daughter. She has now confessed to killing her landlord, Christopher Brown, 72, by manslaughter and to killing his cherished cat, Snow.
Naveed stunned everyone by confessing to the acts she did in August of last year during a hearing held at the Old Bailey on Thursday, July 24. According to Tyla.com, she told the court that she had strangled Brown with a pan and then, in a startling change of events, she had attacked the hapless cat, believing it to have an evil soul that had jumped from the body and into it.

She claimed to be Jesus herself, on a mission to eradicate evil from the world, and told the cops at her trial, “The devil attacked me last night and I won.” According to specialists, she was in a psychotic state when she committed the killings, and her attorneys discussed her paranoid schizophrenia.

Naveed had some crazy beliefs about herself. She once claimed to be the daughter of Dodi Fayed and the late Princess Diana, who were both killed in a 1997 automobile accident in Paris. Her mental health problems became entangled with these ideas of belonging to the royal family, and tragically, this muddle ultimately resulted in the deaths of two more people.
